Reuters - Allegra Beck Versace, the 20-year-old heiress to the fashion house that bears her name, is suffering from anorexia, the eating disorder which many people blame at least in part on the diktats of the beauty industry.

AFP - The 20-year-old daughter of world-famous fashion designer Donattella Versace is being treated for anorexia, the family announced Wednesday, in a step likely to re-start the so-called size zero debate and renew calls for a ban on stick-thin fashion models.

"The woman who parades on the catwalk is the artistic vision of the creator. Women of the street who follow fashion adapt it to their own bodies."

The news has long been splashing about on the Web, but now it is official: Allegra Versace, the 20-year-old daughter of Donatella and heiress of half the Versace empire, has anorexia.
